10mm American Civil War Miniatures Comparison 3.0

Here’s my newest 10mm American Civil War manufactures comparison photo. New to this comparison are figures from Pendrakens new range and the Cracker Line. From comments that I’ve been reading on The Miniatures Page, I thought that it might be useful to have a mounted figures and artillery comparison. So I also added these as well. As always these photos will be revised as I receive new figures. I hope they prove to be useful.

10mm American Civil War Miniatures Comparison 2.0

My first order of 10mm American Civil War figures from Blaze Away Miniatures arrived Friday afternoon. I must say the quality of these figures is excellent, and they match up very well to Pendraken. With the arrival of these figures, I decided that it was a very good time to update my 10mm ACW comparison photo. Along With Blaze Away Miniatures, I also added figures from Starfort and the Baggage Train to the comparison photo. I hope this new photo proves to be useful.

Note 1: To my Knowledge the only Manufacture missing from this comparison is Pithead.

Note 2: All Old Glory infantry comes in strips of five. For this comparison I cut one figure from the strip.

New 10mm American Civil War range from Blaze Away Miniatures

I must say that the past year has been a great time for us 10mm American Civil War gamers. First we had Kallistra release a new ACW range. Then Pendraken announced that they were re-mastering their range of figures, and now Australian based company Blaze Away Miniatures has announced that they are also working on a new range. To be honest prior to this announcement I had never heard of Blaze Away Miniatures. Despite this their new figures look really good and the best news of all is that this new range will be compatible with Pendraken’s range. I really can’t wait to get my hands on some of these figures. The release date has been set for the end of June, and they are currently accepting pre orders. In the meantime, Blaze Away has been previewing their new figure range by occasionally posting photos on The Miniatures Page (TMP).
